Term Two (2023) Ends with Exciting Educational Tours

As Confucius said: “I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand.”

Educational tours also known as school trips help pupils develop at academic, social and personal levels. They not only reinforce and expand knowledge, but also build confidence, enhance bonding, create an opportunity to discover new interests, and create positive memories.

This year (2023) Embu Kawa School pupils had an opportunity to travel and experience Kenya. Pupils in Play Group to PP2 visited Mwea County on 4th August 2023, Grade 1 to 3 Laikipia County, while Grade 4 to 8 visited Nairobi County. In particular, the 3 groups visited Nice City, Mt Kenya Conservancy and Nairobi National Park, respectively.

During the tours, the pupils who were filled with so much excitement carried with them valuable lessons and created positive memories. The tours also marked the end of Term 2 of 2023 and beginning of a two-week August holiday.

“This is such a great stride that the school has planned. It is such an eye opener to the pupils,” observed A. J. Muriuki, Embu Kawa School parent.
